I have to say you were not the first to think of this, I already thought up this idea back in like...2005 xD I never took it very far though as I wasn't very good back then.

Yeah, it sucks that people are copying you. While I have seen the idea before (I believe it was Pokémon Rusty II by Krazy_Meerkat of PokéCommunity), I havn't seen it in a long time and it would have been quite unique to see it in your fangame without it being in any others.

Well, good luck. Here's a little food for thought, though. Don't spoil some of your fangame's features to the public.

AND... im thinking being able to evolve mid battle like in the anime, say for example when mistys poliwag evolved whilst battling ash for the totodile.
im thinking do it like the berry system, when your health go's on red on the games the pokemon will use the berry its holding to restore its health yer?
im thinking that if the pokemon reached its evolution level before the end of the battle (say your squirtle beats an opponents pokemon and reaches level 16 and then they send out another pokemon, and it knocks you on red health)... the squirtle should evolve to save itself
